
On September 8th, 2023, the DVSGI Women's Grievance Cell, under the able guidance of Dipika Sharma, a psychologist and rehabilitation counselor registered with the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), hosted a transformative workshop. The workshop was a dedicated effort towards enhancing mental well-being among our female faculty and students. From engaging activities to enlightening interactive sessions, it was a day filled with valuable insights and learnings that left a lasting impact on everyone present. "Feminism is not just about women; it's about letting all people live fuller lives." Mahila Pakhwada was a 15-day event organised by the Women's Grievance Cell at DVSGI.
Other departments of DVSGI also actively participated in this event. Numerous activities were conducted on the DVSGI grounds. Mrs. Sangeeta ji (civil judge, senior division, district legal service authority) concluded the event by speaking about how education is the best defence, guiding the female students, and stating that education is a tool with which we can all build a good society. Miss Anita Rana of the Janhit Foundation and Miss Shobha Chowdhary of the Nari Shakti Foundation also shared their perspectives and life experiences with the students of DVSGI.

A four-day self-defense workshop for women
A documentary session on women's empowerment
An interactive session on female harassment and personal hygiene
A guest lecture on awareness of women's rights against violence
A poster-making competition on women's awareness
A quiz competition on prevention against sexual harassment at the workplace
A session on women's safety awareness.
This 15-day workshop provided numerous learning opportunities and helped DVSGI female students emerge as courageous, fearless women ready to face any worldly challenges.
Women Grievance Cell , DVSGI (Meerut) on the occasion of International Women’s Day organised an event for giving Honour to Women as they are the pillar of the society on whose shoulder there is the onus to take forward the existence of mankind in a smoother way. And we believe that it’s really essential that we encourage them to showcase their extraordinary occult strength and assist them in nurturing that power.
